![]() ![]() ![]() I’m recalling this from memory but generally it always went like this: It’s so funny to think about it but the whole Olsen franchise was basically the same movie, they just changed the setting. Those films were my first glimpse into teenage life, and maybe thanks to them coming-of-age films are still very dear to me. There is so much stuff I watched at the time but another big thing for me was the Olsen twins movies. ![]() Probably the best 30 seconds in any 2000s film. But it was exciting to watch nevertheless.Īnd all of this was only like 18 years ago! Crazskateboardingy to think that just recently we all lived in a completely different world. The channel played punk rock music in almost every program, although I couldn’t identify the artists or songs because Shazam didn’t exist yet. I also liked watching Extreme Sports channel that showed skateboarding competitions, hoping that one day I’ll be as cool as those guys (didn’t happen). But back then this was somehow important for the pop culture. The fact that he liked that cartoon was a big deal at the time for a reason which I now don’t understand. Later, on mTV Cribs there was an episode with Pete Wentz where he showed some merch from The Nightmare Before Christmas. That’s when I heard Dance Dance for the first time and on the same day I asked my aunt to take me to a CD shop (YES!!) to buy their album. ![]() I remember discovering Fall Out Boy when I turned on mTV by accident and there was an awards ceremony where they won something. So many magazines and TV shows about how much money they were making and the fancy houses they lived in. The celebrity culture at the time felt so exciting to me. But what I love the most is how 2000s were captured in photos of celebrities. The Internet was just getting born, we had to plug in a wire to our computers to go online, there were more than 2 cell phone models, but also Myspace, DVDs, mp3/CD players, so much stuff we don’t use anymore. ![]()
